Lori’s deep understanding of the communication challenges facing non-profits—particularly those in education—stems from her 10 years+ in leadership positions at the Council of Advancement and Support of Education.

At CASE she created winning communications and marketing strategies, developed ground-breaking long- and short-form content, and grew CASE’s own fundraising program. From that understanding she develops efficient and effective strategies crafted around the needs, goals, and culture of individual client organizations. She abhors the cookie cutter.

Lori joined Leapfrog Group as the managing principal of the Washington, DC, office to serve non-profits, independent schools, and colleges in the national capital region. She earned her BA in communications from American University and her MBA from George Mason University. (She also earned a black belt in taekwondo.)

Lori has been on numerous governing boards, panels, and fundraising committees and currently serves on the executive committee of the Association of Fundraising Professionals DC chapter. She lives in Washington, DC, where she and her husband Paul, once proud independent school parents, occasionally host their two college students.
